Indian Embassy organised 'Know India Seminar' to promote India as tourist destination

Indian Tourism office in collaboration with Indian Embassy in Kuwait organised a 'Know India Seminar at Holiday Inn, Salmiya as part of promoting India as one of the most preferred destinations for tourists from Kuwait.

Large number of travel and tour operators in Kuwait, members from the community and local media attended the event. Indian Ambassador to Kuwait HE Sunil Jain, during the inauguration, urged all Indians in Kuwait to invite their Kuwaiti friends to visit India. “India has something special for each state", he said. "We are providing 5 years visa for Kuwaitis and we will be shortly launching e-visa for tourists from Kuwait", ambassador said.

IRV Rao, Assistant Director, India Tourism office in Dubai made a presentation featuring the rich cultural experiences of India as a tourist destination. Around 13,000 Kuwaitis visited India on tourist visa last year and we are expecting an increase of 10% this year, Mr Rao said. He also urged all community members to promote India as a tourist destination among other nationalities.

The event was concluded with dinner.
