‘Large breweries’ busted in Egaila

Ahmadi police busted a local liquor brewery in Egaila, described as one of the largest to ever be discovered in Kuwait. Police raided the place and found hundreds of drums containing liquor distillation material, in addition to pumps and tools used in brewing alcohol.

Armed with warrant from the Public Prosecution, security operatives raided the house and arrested five Asian expatriates, and confiscated 187 barrels full of liquor, in addition to 476 bottles of the contraband ready for sale along with six distillation pipes.

The source noted the first suspect was wanted by Immigration Investigation Department and the second suspect was involved a civil case, while the rest had no identification cards. They were referred with the contraband to relevant authorities for necessary legal action.
