Angamaly Pravasi Association Kuwait celebrated Onam Fest-2016 on 30th September 2016 at ‘Carmel School Auditorium’, Khaitan.The programe started at 12.00 noon with the arrival of the Chief Guest Mr.Roji M.John (MLA-Angamaly and Patron of APAK) accompanied by Mahabali, Thalapoli, Singarimelam, PuliKalli & Ghoshayatra.

The public meeting started with prayer song followed by the welcome speech of the General Secretary Mr. Sajeev Paul. The function was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr. Roji M.John by lighting the traditional lamp. President Mr.Johnson Arackal presided over the meeting and delivered presidential speech. Felicitation speeches and Onam messages were given by Mr.A.K.Srivastava(Community Welfare Officer – Indian Embassy), Mr. Prasad Padmanabhan(NSS-General Secretary Kuwait), Mr.Jacob Pynadath(Founder Member & Ex-Advisory Board Chairman), Mr. Saju Geo Thachil(Founder Member & Ex-President), Mr.Bacon Joseph(Advisory Board Chairman) and Mr. Varghese Paul(Felicitation & Handover the Charity Contribution) . Vote of thanks was delivered by the Treasurer Mr. Martin Kurian.

Chief Guest, MLA Mr.Roji M.John Released APAK Onam Souvenir 2016 by handing over a copy to the Vice President Mr.Satheesh Nair. During the function, Mr.Roji M.John was honored for his Victory in Angamaly Constituency.

The Association honored the outstanding students, Varsha Nigi, Jovena Joy, Vivek Venugopal, Leo Jolly of class X and Meenu Varghese and Jesil Jaison of Class 12 for their meritorious performance in the Board Exams.

The main cultural events were staged by Idea Star Singer Season 4, First Runner up Mr.Sreenath K. and Mr.Kalabhavan Sudhi by presenting the Ganamela and Comedy Show. Apart from the Songs and dances by D’Lights Music Band, DK Dance School and our talented APAK family members and their children, the program also included group Dances and Kerala traditional Thiruvathira and Vallamkali… etc. prior to the public meeting delicious Traditional Onam Sadhya was served to all .

The programme which came to an end at 8.00pm, was anchored by Mrs. Luciya R.Williams.
