Shifa Al Jazeera- Al Nahil Youth India Pravasi Sports 2016 Registration begins

Registration for Shifa Al Jazeera- Al Nahil Youth India Pravasi Sports 2016 conducted with the tag line 'Sports for humanity' has begun.

The event which will be held in Kaifan Amateur Athletic Stadium will be held on 28th October. The events will kick off with a colorful march past of the four competing teams. The teams are divided based on the geographical location of the participants.

The teams are Abbasiya, Farwaniya, Fahaheel and Salmiya. Sagar Justin (Abbasiya ) , Lisab (Fahaheel), Muneer Thaha (Salmiya) and Riyas K (Farwaniya) have been elected as the captains of their respective teams. The age categories for participants are Veterans (upto 1976), Youth ( 1977 - 1995 ) , Super Senior Boys (1996-2000) , Senior Boys(2001-2002), Junior Boys(2003-2004), Sub Junior Boys(2005-2006), Senior Kids-Boys(2007-2008), Senior Kids - Girls(2007-2008) , Kids(2009-2010) , Junior Kids(2011 and later). They will compete in 100 mtr, 200 mtr, 400 mtr, 800 mtr, 1500 mtr races and long jump, high jump , shot put, javeline throw, discus throw, arm wrestling and tug of war. A participant can compete in a maximum of 3 events.
