Adoor Nri Forum celebrated Onam 2016

Adoor NRI Forum’s Onam celebration that took place at the Indian Central School was inaugurated by Hon. Sri. Shubashis Goldar – Deputy Chief of Mission, Indian Embassy, Kuwait. The meeting was presided by Sri. Reju Varghese and Gen. Sec. Sri. Biju Daniel delivered the welcome speech.

As an outcome of past 2 years’ constant effort, forum was able to compile and release a directory on this occasion along with the Onam Souvenir.

The President has extended his sincere gratitude and appreciated each and every member for their selfless dedicated participation for the successful renewal of Forum’s embassy registration and also for the various other charity activities carried out in and around Adoor township. Installation of a Water Purifying System at Government Hospital-Adoor, Donation of a Sound System to one of the schools in the town and also other financial aids extended to several patients were the main activities carried out during the year.

Adv. Sri. John Thomas, Dr. Hassan Khan, Smt. Prasanna Ramabhadran & Vice President Sri. Sreekumar S. Nair delivered felicitation speech. Joint Sec. Sri. Terry Thomas gave a brief update on the directory release. Mrs. Dr. Hassan Khan has inaugurated Karunya food stall along with Advisory member Sri. Koshy Mathew. Late Dr. Narayanan Namboori and Late Sri. Ramesh Kumar R. were remembered on this occasion.

The day was made complete and colorful with various cultural programmes & the sumptuous Onam Feast served. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Onam Convener Sri. Bijo P.Babu.
