Mega Community celebration, IIK Diwali Mela 2016 This Weekend

The much awaited Mega Community celebration, IIK Diwali Mela 2016 will be held this year on Friday, 21st October 2016.
The Mega Community celebration, 'Diwali Mela 2016' will be held at Al Zumerida Hall, Bida'a, Opp Salwa, Al Ta'awn St, after Radisson Blu and will begin at 10:00 am onwards. The full day event features one of its kind Mela by bringing all Indian associations together in a common platform.
Variety of stalls featuring regional items from different parts of India will be the attraction in this Mela. Various Indian associations will present cultural shows showcasing regional and national flavours of India. Number of Games stall, ethnic products, etc will be present at the Mela.
'Holiday Inn - Jamawar Indian restaurant Diwali Mithai Competition and Diwali Namkeen Competition, Rangoli Competition, Kids Fancy Dress Competition, Ooredoo - Dandiya Dance Competition, Painting Competition for Men etc will add colours to the event. Diwali Lanterns (Kandil) made by students of various Indian schools will be exhibited at the Mela.
All the competitions are organized by Indian Women in Kuwait - IWIK. IWIK has introduced 2 new competitions this year at IIK Diwali Mela 2016 which is Diwali Namkeen Contest and Painting Competition for Men.
Participating associations are Rajasthan Darpan Association, Kuwait Odisha Association, Telangana Chaithanya Sravanthi - Kuwait, Upkar Association, FOKE, Samarpan Gujarat, Tulu Koota, Assam and Tamil Sangam.
An Early Bird lucky winner from the public who comes to the Mela before 11:30 am will get an exclusive Certina Watch.
Games stalls, Special kids’ corner, Dandya Dance etc will guarantee a fun filled entertainment day for the whole family. Entry to the whole day Mela is restricted for families. A variety of prizes are waiting for the visitors and participants.
Celebrity Kuwaiti Singer Mubarak Al Rashed will enthral the audience with his specially selected Hindi Songs. Like in last year, number of spot prizes and raffle prizes are waiting for the entire community at this year’s Diwali Mela too!
