ICSK Junior celebrated Gandhi Jayanti

The Indian Community School Kuwait Junior marked the birth anniversary of the father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi by conducting a series of special assemblies on the occasion. A genuine homage was paid to the Mahatma through various skits, group songs, and dance performances by enthusiastic students.

The assembly for the U.K.G-G Section began with a special tribute to Gandhiji. Children shared some thoughts about Gandhiji. In the special assembly conducted on 4th October for classes IV,V,VI participants talked and enacted on some values given by Mahatma Gandhi. The importance of the truth and non-violence were reflected through the various programmes.

“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. “ This message was given by Mahatma Gandhi that conveys the epitome of the possibility of human endeavors. His life and teachings have inspired generations all over the world and continue to inspire.

On this day, meritorious certificates were also distributed to the winners of CCA competition for the month of September 2016.

Principal in- charge Mrs. Sherly Dennis appreciated the participants and teacher in- charge and distributed the certificates for the C.C.A Winners. She spoke about the principles of Gandhiji and the need to practise them in the modern world. She motivated with some ideas which help us to be a good citizens of our motherland.
