St Aprem prayer group onam celebration 2016

St. Aprem Prayer group of St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church Maha Edavaka, Kuwait had held its first family get together along with Onam celebration on Friday, 23 September 2016 in Abbassiya. The prayer was lead by secretary Mr Thomaskutty Joseph –followed by a song, bible reading, later a devotional message by our Vicar Rev. Fr Raju Thomas. The evening program took off with an inaugural welcome speech by General Convenor - Mr. Thomas Cherian, welcoming everyone to the program and expressing his happiness for having all its members under one roof for a social event.

Hon trustee - Mr. Thomas Kuruvilla & Hon. Secretary- Mr Giji John made their presence to the program. The programs were drafted by Mr Saji Daniel - Program convenor keeping all in house talents in mind specially for the kids. The program had devotional & cinematic songs followed by traditional “Vallamkali”. Eye catchy group dances, classic malayalam short skit & “Maveli”. A creative display of Athapoo design by the St. Aprem ladies was admirable. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Mr Jubin Oommen – Church managing committee member, A traditional mouth watering “Onam Sadhya” was served. It was an evening to be remembered by all St. Aprem families.
