St.Thomas Indian Orthodox Pazhayapalli, Christian Youth Movement Ahmadi, Celebrated 11th Onam Program ‘Thiruvonapulari 2016’

St. Thomas Orthodox Christian Youth Movement – (A spiritual organization under St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Pazhayapalli Ahmadi Kuwait) conducted the 11th onam celebration- ‘Thiruvonapulari 2016’ in a unique style on 16th September 2016, which witnessed a colorful event in Kuwait at Al-Sahil Sports club, Abu Halifa. The event was inaugurated by Rev Fr. Sanju John and the presidential speech was delivered by Rev Fr. Liju .P.Jose.The felicitation speech was given by Rev Fr.Shaji.P. Joshua and Rev Fr.Jacob Kallada.

Also, Our Church Trustee Mr.BennyVarghese, Secretary Mr.Anu Padathara, OCYM Vice president Mr.Vinod.E.Varghese, Trustee Mr.DeepuMathew, Secratery Mr.Sherin.M. Daniel,General Convener Mr.Shiju Simon were given leadership for the program. Thiruvonapulari General Convener Shiju Simon welcomed eminent personalities were made their valuable presence to mark the event more meaningful. The special Onam edition of Yuvadarshanam (Souvenir) was released. Souvenir Convener Mr. Boban John handed it to Rev.Fr.Raju Thomas who released It. The function also honored the senior OCYM members Mr.Bnu Oommen & Mr. Thomas Thomas.

The event was beautified by Kerala’s traditional art and game form such as Athapookala malsaram ( St. Dionysious prayer group have won first prize and St. Thomas Prayer group won second prize ), Goshayatra, Chenda melam, Pulikali, Tug of war ( Vadamvali malsaram, first winner is St. George prayer group and second winner is St. Pauls prayer group), solo song, group song, nadanpatt fusion band(Kaithola),fancydress competitions and Ottamthullal performance won the hearts of audience. Around two thousand people enjoyed with delicious onam sadya. The renowned musical band ‘DELITES’ made memories with musical shows.

OCYM secretary Mr.Sherin M Daniel gave the vote of thanks to all participants, sponsors and entire St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Ahmadi church members. Apart from Onam celebration, St. Thomas Indian Orthodox church, Ahmadi is organizing charity program to help the poor and down trodden people.
