Health Ministry and Municipality have been collaborating to make heart pacemakers available in public places, as a move to reduce the number of fatal heart attack cases.

This move is part of a national program that aims at saving lives; the collaboration was announced during a visit made by the Health Ministry Undersecretary for supporting medical services Dr. Jamal Al-Harbi to the Municipality.

The idea is to make heart pacemakers available in commercial buildings, public spaces, schools, sporting clubs and government buildings, he told the press on Friday.

Emergency units should be also setup close to these venues for quick medical intervention.
