A Day to Thank Teachers – Teacher’s Day

“A teacher takes a hand, opens the mind and the touches the heart.”

The students of the Indian Community School Kuwait, Junior, held series of assemblies to mark one of the most important days in the lives of teachers and students - ‘Teachers’ Day’ on 5th and 6th September 2016. Students of class III and IV rendered wonderful songs thanking their teachers. Foot tapping dance performance dedicated to their teachers stole the show. An informative speech about Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was given. A short skit was staged that depicted the various achievements of the great educator Dr.S.Radhakrishnan.

In her speech, Principal In-charge, Mrs. Shirley Dennis spoke about the importance of teachers in our society. She reminded that every teacher should strive to bring a positive change in the lives of their students. Vice-Principals, Mrs. Gomathy Murthy and Mrs. Sheeja addressed the assembly and motivated the students with their words of wisdom. On this day of significance, students showed their love and respect to their teachers. They also felicitated the teachers by giving cards, book marks and bouquets.
