126 detained in Thursday security raid

Officers from Rescue Police Department led by Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Sulaiman Al-Fahad launched surprise security campaigns on Thursday, August 25 in all governorates of the country during which they arrested 126 individuals, impounded two vehicles and issued 346 traffic citations.

In a press release issued by Ministry of Interior, Public Relations and Security Media Department explained that the 126 arrested individuals include 12 who are wanted for civil cases, 29 wanted for absconding cases, 55 for not carrying their identity documents, 22 for having expired residencies, two who had arrest orders issued against them as one was convicted to a year in prison while the other to six months in prison, two for drug-related cases, one for an alcohol-related case and two for theft-related cases.

The department affirmed that such security campaigns will be held relentlessly in all areas of the six governorates.
