126 arrested in Thursday raid

126 people were arrested during a wide-scale crackdown by security officials last Thursday.
The security operations department carried out the campaign around Kuwait last Thursday, under supervision of senior ministry officials led by Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, the Assistant Undersecretary for Operations Affairs. Police arrested 20 people wanted in civil cases, 37 wanted for absconding, 26 with expired visas, eight on drug and alcohol-related charges, four on criminal cases, and 24 for failure to produce IDs. Meanwhile, seven vehicles were impounded and 351 traffic tickets were issued during the campaign.
