Narcotics detectives foiled an attempt to smuggle 98 kg of illicit pills with a market value of over KD 3 million into Kuwait. General Department for Drug Control’s Acting Director Col Waleed Al-Duraei explained that narcotics detectives had been tipped off concerning a large shipment of illicit pills hidden inside a van arriving from a European country for a Syrian.

The suspect was placed under close surveillance for three weeks before a search warrant was issued and his house was stormed and he was arrested. Duraei added that the suspect confessed and led the police to the van and showed the secret compartments in it, where detectives found 49 plastic bags including around a million pills.
