Thanima arranged ‘Íftar’ event SouhrudaThanima

THANIMA, the secular socio-cultural Group has arranged an ‘Íftar’ named SouhrudaThanima, at Hidine auditorium, Abbassiya. The fast breaking get-together was attended by community leaders, representatives from different religious faiths, social and cultural organizations, audio-visual-print media and well-wishers.
Program started with Quran recitation by Mohd. Mishal. Faizel Manjeri, Adv. John Thomas and P.V. Vijayaraghavan delivered messages highlighting the need for religious harmony. All religions advocates peaceful co-existence. Everyone should be able follow their own religious faith and respects others’. Fasting is a mechanism for purification, self-restraint & retreat, giving an opportunity to be close to the Almighty. It is also a reminder to wake up and understand one’s responsibility to his fellow being as well as to the nature.
Mukundan Edavana (Gen. Convener), Babuji Bathery and D.K. Dileep also spoke on the occasion.
The raffle coupon for Onathanima 2016, the mega sports event & carnival being held on October 21, 2016 was released by Raghunathan Nair in the presence of George Thomas (Gen. Conv. of Onathanima) and handed over to Shaji Varghese (Raffle Convener).
