Plan to ease traffic during rush hours in Ramadan

Heavy traffic that preceded the advent of Ramadan was caused by people’s rush to buy food and other requirements for the holy month, reports Al Rai Arabic news paper quoting Major General Abdullah Al-Muhanna, the Interior Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs. A number of serious accidents meanwhile have complicated traffic at the Fifth Ring Road last Sunday, Muhanna indicated. He added that the traffic department has prepared a plan to ease traffic during rush hours in Ramadan, especially the post-iftar hours
