Kuwait released statistics of labor market; Indian Community largest in number

Kuwait released statistics concerning the local labor market, according to which expatriates cover 80.9 percent of the manpower in Kuwait, while Kuwaitis constitute the remaining 19.1 percent.

It also stated that 89.4 percent of expatriate employees are men while 10.6 percent are women. This reveals why a large number of expatriate bachelors can be found across the country.

Indian expatriate constitute the largest in number with 25.3 percent, followed by Egypt with 23 percent, and Kuwait is third with 19.1 percent.

In the government sector, university degree holders cover the highest percentage with 39.1 percent, while secondary school certificate holders follow with 17.8 percent, and those in below university degree (post secondary certificates) cover 15.5 percent.

In private sector, intermediate certificate holders are the highest with 46.3 percent, followed by 13.4 elementary certificate holders.

Indians constitute 43.9 percent of domestic workers while compared to other expatriate community.
