Kuwait based Indians Pinak Maitra and Sunny Bhatia among ‘Forbes top ten Indian Leaders in the Arab World’

Kuwait based Pinak Maitra and Sunny Bhatia has been named among this years ‘Top Ten Indian Leaders in the Arab World’ by Forbes Middle East. The defining list recognizes the most successful and groundbreaking Indian leaders in the Middle East.

The announcement was made at the Forbes Middle East Gala Dinner held at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah recently, in the presence of top leaders from the Indian business community in the region as well as high-profile executives from across various industries and sectors.

Forbes Middle East honored Indians who have leadership position in the region through this list in which Sanjeev Chaddah, chief executive officer of PepsiCo Asia, Middle East and Africa, R Seetharamn, Group chief executive officer, Doha Bank and Sanjiv Kakkar Executive Vice President of Unilever are in the top 3.

Pinak Maitra, the Group CFO of KIPCO is also a Board member of Burgan Bank, OSN and Pulsar Knowledge Centre.

Sunny Bhatia holds the position of chief financial officer at Global Investment House. Prior to joining Global Investment House in 2006, Bhatia was financial controller at National Bank of Bahrain. He has held various positions in reputed firms KPMG, Siemens and PwCoopers. He obtained his chartered accountancy and cost and management accountancy qualifications in 1988 and bachelor of commerce from Delhi University in 1985.

The selection for the top 50 executives was based on work experience, geographical reach, number of employees and title.
