ICSK Junior Conducted Investiture Ceremony to Induct Newly Elected Senate

The Indian Community School Kuwait Junior conducted Investiture Ceremony to induct the newly school senate for the academic session 2016-17on May 11, 2016. Principal of Indian English Academy School Kuwait Rev. Father Lionel Braganza SDB was the esteemed chief guest for the occasion. Parents of the newly elect Senate members were invited to attend the function.
The Investiture ceremony denotes investment in being leaders and the trust and confidence the school reposes in newly invested office bearers for the involvement of the students’ community in day today functioning of the school, for a child centric approach.
The decorative ceremonial lamp of knowledge to invoke the blessings of the Lord Almighty, was lit by chief guest Rev. Father Lionel Braganza, Principal in-charge Mrs. Sherly Dennis, Vice- Principal Mrs. Gomathy Murthy, Supervisor Mrs. Anita Handa, Physical Education in-charge Mr. Jimmy Kurien, Senate Advisors Mrs. Meena Raicer and Mrs. Ancy Jophy,
Mrs. Sherly Dennis, in her address, justified and expressed the truly democratic election procedure of cabinet members 2016-2017. Elected members were advised to maintain the discipline and the decorum of the school. Senate advisor Mrs. Meena briefly described the election procedure conducted in stages from the day of filing in nomination, meeting with candidates for interview, canvassing and the day of electronic voting.
The excitement of the smartly attired new members was palpable as they marched in with their heads held high, ready to shoulder the responsibilities as student leaders. The music prodigies of the school presented a melodious inspirational theme song infusing and instilling courage in the newly elected cabinet members to function in unison. A dance to the rhythm thanking the Almighty Lord was par excellent. Another fusion dance by a large number of students captivated the audience.
Mrs. Sherly Dennis administered the oath of office to the newly appointed members of the Student Council. The office bearers of the four houses were invested ceremoniously with the Chief Guest presenting badges.
Esteemed Chief Guest Rev. Father Lionel imparted his divine thoughts with a difference on leadership. Father’s dramatic address to the level of little children mesmerized the audience. On behalf of ICSK Junior school, Mrs. Sherly Dennis and Mrs. Gomathy Murthy presented a memento to the Rev. Father Lionel. The President of the School Senate Ms. Navya Prashanth, on behalf of the senate, proposed a hearty vote of thanks.
