Kozhikode District Association elected new office bearers

Kozhikode District Association, Kuwait held its annual general body meeting on 29th April 2016 at Pravasi Auditorium Auditorium, Abbasiya. The general body meeting was inaugurated by Mr. Shabeer Mandoly, Patron of the Association and President Mr.Ramdas Chilamban presided over the meeting. Mr. Rajagopalan E, patron offered felicitation to the General Body meeting.
Mr. Jawed Bin Hameed, Vice President presented condolence resolution on the demise of leading personalities during the last one year period. Mr. Haneef .C, Organising Secretary presented resolution condemning the negative attitude shown by authorities towards development of Karippoor Airport.
Mr.Abdul Najeeb.T.K, General Secretary offered welcome address and presented annual report. Mr. Najeeb P.V, Treasurer presented financial report for the year 2015-16. Annual report and financial report were approved by the General Body meeting after detailed discussion.
Mrs. Asya Umma, member of the association who is leaving Kuwait for good was presented memento by Mr.Rajagopalan.E. Mahilavedi officebearers also presented a memento to Mrs. Asya Umma.
Officebearers for the year 2016-2017 were elected in the General Body meeting. Mr. Raju S Kandy controlled the election proceedings. The meeting unanimously elected the following office bearers.
Mr. Rajagopalan.E (President), Mr. Ramakrishnan.M (General Secretary), Mr. Haneef.C (Treasurer), Mr. Shyjith.K and Mr. Siddarthan Kuruvatoor (Vice Presidents), Mr. Muneer Marakkan (Joint Secretary), Mr. Rathidasan. K.V (Joint Treasurer), Mr. Najeeb.P.V (Organizing Secretary), Mr.Sameer Vellayil(Welfare, Member Benefits & Investments Secretary), Mr. Shereef Tharassery (Arts & Culture Secretary), Mr. Sreeneesh Sreenivasan (Web & IT Secretary), Mr. Shareef Thamarassery (Media & Public Relations Secretary), Mr. Nikhil Pavoor (Membership Data Management Secretary) and Mr. Thaha K.V (Sports Secretary).
Mr.Ramdas Chilamban, Mr. Shabeer Mandoly, Mr. Abdul Najeeb.T.K, Mr. Aboobacker.K, Mr. Shahul Beypore, Mrs.Vanisree Santosh, Ms. Rekha.T, and Mr. Thelhat Vellayil felicitated the newly elected office bearers. Mr. Rajagopalan.E, Mr. Shereef Thamarassery and Mr. Haneef.C thanked the members for electing them to the new posts and assured their continued effors for the benefit of the society.
