3,482 traffic citations issued; 10 deported for traffic offences

Traffic officers from all governorates, highway patrol officers and officers from Traffic Investigations Department launched traffic campaigns in several parts of the country and issued 3,482 traffic citations, seized 61 vehicles that were caught speeding, arrested 109 individuals including 99 youths for driving without drivers’ license, seized 10 wanted vehicles, arrested 3 wanted criminals and registered 1,091 vehicles for not meeting the necessary conditions.

Ten of the arrested individuals were referred for deportation.

The campaigns were launched based on instructions from Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Abdullah Al-Muhanna and
under the supervision of Assistant Director of General Traffic Department Major General Fahad Al-Shuwa’a. Major General Al-Muhanna urged road users to respect the traffic rules of the country.
