Deportation for driving without licence and providing private transport

Draft law has been completed and referred to the Fatwa and Legislation Department and Land Transport Authority to toughen penalties for traffic violations, local daily reported quoting Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Abdullah Al-Mehanna.

According to him, currently, expatriates are deported on two major violations; driving without license and providing private transport.

He noted the ministry has since opened its doors to receive complaints from the general public, and the penalty of deportation is codified against any person proven to have committed any of the above-mentioned violations.
