Intense checking in companies for ‘marginal’ or illegal labor

The Manpower Public Authority is intensifying crackdowns against ‘marginal’ or illegal labor forces at fields that includes industry, agriculture and constructions. A company that is found to be in violation of the labor law will have its file closed, and all of its transactions will be suspended except for ‘final termination for travel’ transactions, local daily Al-Anbaa reported.
Employers in that case would also be referred to the Ministry of Interior for investigations, and if convicted, would be banned from practicing commercial activities, forced to pay a fine for every worker he employs illegally and could also face jail time, the daily added.
