Thrissur Association of Kuwait celebrated Mahotsavam 2015

Thrissur Association of Kuwait (TRASSK) celebrated its Mahotsavam 2015, an annual meet for the members on 2nd October, 2015 between 5pm to 11.30pm at Indian central School, Jeleeb Al Shuwaik, and Kuwait. The program started with the colorful procession depicting various regional cultural events of Kerala.

The cultural meeting was inaugurated by Mr A K Sreevastava, the Second Secretary of Embassy of India to Kuwait. The meeting was presided over by the President of TRASSK, Mr Muraleedharan Pudhoor, The meeting was adorned by the representative of Governor Farwaniya region H E Sheik Mubarak Sabah Al Sabah. With the specially invited guest, and the commander of Farwaniya Police, Col Ebrahim Abdul Razzak Al Daei,Jleeb Police Chief Lt. Rasheed Al-Hajri TRASSK members were blessed with the presence of Padmasree Peruvanam Kuttan Marrar, while honoring his artistic talents by TRASSK.

Mr Asharaf Kunnamkulam, greeted the audience followed by the review report reading by General Secretary Mr Shiju Poulose, The audience were felicitated by the Mr Stephan Devassy Treasurer,Smt Annie Inasu, co ordinator Vanitha vedi, Kumari Aleena Joel coordinator, "Kalikkalam". Mr Harikumar,General Manager,Nasser Al Hajiri corporation, who was the main sponsor of the program, Mr Simon John, Marketing head, Al Mulla Exchange, and Mr Hamza Payyannor,CEO of Metro Clinic also extended their felicitation

Merit awards were distributed to the children of TRASSK members who secured highest marks in their examination of last academic year. TRASSK Introduced new social initiative ‘Kudumbajyothi’ and handed over cheque to concern person.

The audience were excited with the "Thayambaka" performed by Mela Pramani, Mr Kuttan Marrar.The extravagant programs performed by various area committee members were outstanding, The Musical and dance program along with "Manikilukkam, performed by Kalabhavan Mani and his team evoked enthusiasm to the audience The Mahotsavam was convened by vote of thanks by its Arts convenor Mr Jerry Antony.
