Khadamat Integrated Solutions Pvt Ltd (KISPL), the agency assigned to conduct medical screening of job aspirants leaving for Kuwait, is planning to resume the operations of its Kochi centre from Tuesday.

With this, Khadamat will have three such centres in India, the other two being in Mumbai and New Delhi. According to sources, the Khadamat Hyderabad centre, which was also closed down, may not resume operations.

Earlier, Khadamat had stopped operations in Kochi after candidates protested against the excessive fee charged. Following repeated protest and complaints by the job seekers from India, Kuwait authorities stopped Khadamat service in June. However in September, in a setback to job seekers from India, the Kuwait government has again gave its permission to Khadamat Integrated Solutions Pvt. Ltd to perform medical tests on the expatriates. Khadamat is expected to continue collecting a fee of around Rs 12,000 for the procedure.
