Riches Unveiled From Waste at ICSKAmman

Thursday, October 1, 2015

“Nothing in nature is exhausted in its first use. When a thing has served to its utmost, it is wholly new for an ulterior service. Every end is then converted into new means.”

To create this environmental awareness in the young minds of our tiny tots, ICSK Amman students of UKG were given a craft activity on the theme “Best out of Waste – Costume and Accessories” which was held on 10th September, 2015.

The concept ‘Best out of Waste’ was an effort to instill the knowledge among our pupils that the materials which are dumped and are a threat to our environment can be reused and recycled. The students were asked to dress up with the costumes and accessories made from old newspapers, rice sacks, water bottles, straws, plastic bags, bottles caps, nut shells etc. It was indeed a visual treat to see the students clad in those innovative colorful costumes. It was creativity at its best.

Students walked through the ramp with great excitement and enthusiasm and the show stole the hearts of everyone who were present in the school auditorium. It revealed that our future is indeed green and will remain so, if we work towards protecting our planet.

Parents creativity blended with child’s confidence made the show a huge success which brought out the true meaning of Reuse and Recycle.
