Expats with 'Absconding' case can rectify status

General Department for Residence Affairs at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor is receiving applications from expatriate workers, who have been reported absconding by their sponsors, to help them rectify their status, Arab Times daily reported citing Al-Shahed Arabic news paper.

The daily said only those workers who hold residence permit under Article 18 are eligible for a review. The department is said to have set a set of conditions for the new sponsor subject to approval by the labor sector of the Ministry
