Thanima Organized ‘Onaghoshathanima 2015’

As a reminiscent to the good old days of Mahabali when his subjects were equal in all respects and enjoying a cheerful life that sounds strange for the modern society, Thanima arranged ‘Onaghoshathanima 2015’, an Onam celebration for their families and friends.
The program was conceived and presented by Kuttithanima members, the children’s wing of Thanima. Cultural programs started with a procession by the children showcasing mythical characters connected to Onam and its tradition. This was followed by Puli Kali (Tiger dance), Thiruvathira Kali, a traditional dance item and Onappattu, a song describing the essence of Onam, by the children. Athapookalam (Flower carpet), which is an indispensable part of the celebrations was arranged as well by the kids.
Another highlight of the cultural program was ‘Mehfil’ by Kuwait Melodies, in which Mustapah Ambady was on the harmonium and Pratapan Mannar on tabla. Melodious Malayalam-Hindi evergreen hit songs were rendered by Shaiju Pallipuram, Shameer, Jobby, Ambika, Rebeca and Namitha
The program was inaugurated by Mathews Varghese (Country Head of BEC) along with other guests and Thanima Hardcore members. Felicitations were given by Abdul Fathah Thayyil, Hamza Payyannoor, Mohammed Riyaz, Aziz Thikkodi, Abubaker, Chessil Ramapuram, Anil P. Alex, Anwar Sadath and Reji Bhaskar.
Raffle coupon and flyer for Onathanima 2015 on 23rd October in which National Tug O’War championship will be held, were officially released by Mathews Varghese in the presence of Johney Kunnil (Gen. Convener), Manoj Kumar, Mary Alex (Jt. Conveners), Raghunathan Nair (Sponsorship convener), Thomas Kattanam (Coupon Convener), Babuji Bathery (Programme Convener) and Alisha (Kuttithanima Convener).
Pratapan Mannar (Program convener of Onaghoshathanima) welcomed the guests and Mary Alex (Pennthanima convener) proposed a vote of thanks.
This was followed by a sumptuous Onam feast specially prepared by Thanima members, which was enjoyed by all.
