St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian church Salwa celebrated Soonoyo Feast

St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian church Salwa, Kuwait celebrated the Feast of St. Mary’s ( Soonoyo Feast ) at Greek Orthodox Church in Salwa on 13th August to mark the end of 15 days long Soonoyo Lent. Patriarchal Secretary His Eminence Mor Timothios Mathews was the chief celebrant. His eminence was on his paternal visit to Kuwait to celebrate the inaugural Holy Qurbono at the Greek Orthodox Church, Salwa, a new worship facility opened to St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Church on 6th August 2015 and returned to Syria on 16th August.

This new facility will help St.Marys Jacobite Syrian Church to have a unified worship place to perform fellowship for all its members who are scattered across the wide geography of this country. The new facility, located in Block 10, Salwa (GPS Coordinates 29.284211, 48.079518 ) situated very close to Fahaheel Expressway (Road 30) is very easily accessible and can accommodate more than 500 people.

The church, who were conducting their regular services on Thursday at Abbassiya and Fridays at Mangaf have now unified these services to Salwa on every Thursday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The church will continue to conduct their other regular services of Tuesday evenings at NECK and Friday evenings at St. Paul’s Church Ahmadi as usual. For more details Contact Vicar Rev. Fr.
