284 arrested during security check; 8 deported for driving without license

Ministry of Interior’s public security recently launched several inspection campaigns in various areas which resulted in the arrest of 284 people for various reasons including violation of residency visas, expired residency visas, not holding of civil IDs, absconding and possession of drugs.

In addition to arrest, 32 vehicles wanted for several cases were impounded.

During the security campaign launched by traffic department, from June 28 until July 4, Eight expatriates deported for driving without a driver’s license. Campaign also arrested 33 drivers for serious traffic violations and issued 45,964 tickets and impounded 1,927 vehicles.
