Expats visa fees increase pending minister’s approval

The proposal to increase fees collected for services provided to expatriates has been submitted to Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah for review and remarks pending final approval, local daily reported quoting Interior Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Residency Affairs Major General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah.

The proposal includes increasing the fee for commercial and tourist visit visas, temporary residencies, as well as self-sponsorship and dependant visas.

The new proposal also includes minimum two year validity for passports for getting residency visas.
