ICAI Kuwait Chapter celebrates Youth Members Family Get-Together

The Youth Empowerment Committee of the Kuwait Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India held its family get-together for the first time on 11 June 2015 at the Avanti Palace Restaurant, Hawally. The event was attended by over 50 young Chartered Accountants qualified after year 2010 along with their family members including the executive committee members of the Chapter.

The committee was formed in year 2014 and is headed by CA. Noel Joe Cherian and a team of 5 members – CA. Dheeraj Soneja, CA. Mohit Bhatia, CA. Trisha Dalmia, CA. Ritesh Katti & CA. Sunil Salian. Some of the objectives of the committee are to create a platform for sharing knowledge among the experienced and young members, developing work-related soft skills for career progression by mentoring program, social activities, and various initiatives to acumen Young Members with the latest developments relating to the profession. Committee organizes various Seminars, Workshops and conferences on technical matters to empower young members in transitioning into a new role or career challenge.



The event started with the welcome note by CA. Noel Cherian and the Chairman of the Chapter CA. Prashantha Shetty delivered the key note address to the members. He emphasized the role of young members towards the betterment of the Chapter activities in Kuwait and also how to increase the image of our fraternity amongst the nationals and other expatriate communities in Kuwait. There was a self-introduction session which was followed by games for children, individuals and couples and the event ended with gala dinner.
