American Society of Safety Engineers, conducted Process Safety Management

American Society of Safety Engineers, Kuwait Chapter, has conducted a yet another training seminar on "Process Safety Management" on 16th June 2015 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Kohinoor Banquet Hall, Fahaheel. The trainer for the session was Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal, CSP. More than 30 ASSE, KC, members were benefited from this much sought after program.
Mr. Mohammad Yousuf, Training Sub-committee member of ASSE Kuwait chapter welcomed the participants. He briefed the significance of the PSM Training seminar and the importance of conducting such seminars for the benefit of ASSE members in particular and the Kuwait society in general. He further introduced the faculty Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal.
Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal, is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, USA and holds Engineering Degree from Nagpur University, India. He is a member of ASSE Kuwait Chapter and the currently serves ASSE, KC, as the Head of the Training Committee. Mr. Sanjay Jaiswal is presently working in Kuwait Oil Company as Safety Specialist. He has more than 25 years’ experience in downstream and midstream Oil & Gas industry. His specific skill areas include, but not limited to, the development and implementation of HSE Management System, Training, Auditing and Inspections, Crisis Management, Risk Assessment & Loss Prevention, Accident investigations, Process Safety Management, Integrity Management and Contractor HSE Management.
The training seminar was very well conducted by the trainer and effectively communicated citing past catastrophes and case studies that took place in the Oil & Gas Industries. He has outlined the need of Process Safety Management in industries handling highly hazardous Chemical, Origin and further developments in PSM, Evaluation of PSM Standards in Industries, Protocols, Industries covered under PSM, Various elements of PSM Standard, Difference between Occupational Safety and Process safety, Process Hazards Analysis, Audio & video Presentations.
The program was very much beneficial to all the members particularly to the junior safety Officers and Engineers especially from Petroleum and Petrochemical industries. The participants were very much happy and recommended to conduct more such useful trainings from ASSE Kuwait chapter for the benefit of its members.
