Rumours on new death in mosque blast is baseless; Amiri orders to repair damaged mosque

Minister of Health Ali Saad Al-Obaidi on Sunday refused reports on a new death case of the suicide blast that hit Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque on Friday.

Al-Obaidi referred to reports that one of the wounded succumbed to his injuries, as "groundless."

Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir stressed the repairing of everything affected in the blast and ordered authorities to repair Al-Imam Al-Sadeq Mosque.

The blast that hit the mosque in Al-Sawaber area of Kuwait city during Friday noon prayer killed 27 people and injured 227 others.

Some 36 people are receiving treatment in four hospitals, seven of them in intensive care units.
