Airport to witness huge rise in number of passengers

Kuwait International Airport is expected to witness huge rise in number of passengers between July 17th and July 20th mainly due to the holy month of Ramadan and advent of Summer holidays.

The number of people travelling during the summer vacation this year is expected to be 20 percent more than those who traveled last year because the summer holidays are extending into the month of September and Ramadan is falling at the start of the holidays.

According to Al-Qabas daily, more than 1.8 million people are expected to travel overseas during the months of June, July and August, adding that more than 500,000 passengers are expected to travel at the end of July and that more than 26,000 flights are expected to depart or arrive Kuwait International Airport during these three months.
