Ministry mulls paying for expat doctors’ children’s education

In an attempt to provide expatriate doctors with more incentives and prevent them from moving to other countries, Ministry of Health’s Undersecretary Dr Khalid Al-Sahlawi recently contacted all medical districts requesting lists of expatriate doctors’ children studying in private schools in Kuwait. According to local daily Kuwait Times, the ministry is currently discussing the possibility of transferring those children to public schools or to pay part of their fees in private schools.

The official demanded that full lists, including the students’ names, numbers and grade levels, to be on his desk within two weeks starting from May 11, Kuwait Times daily reported citing Al-Anbaa Arabic news paper.
