40 illegal domestic workers arrested

General Department for Residency Affairs and Directorate General for Residency Investigation Affairs launched a security campaign on domestic workers bureaus in Ahmadi Governorate during which they arrested a number of female domestic workers and issued 40 citations.

Three offices were found having special maids working without licenses. The officers closed down three offices that were operating illegally without a license from Ministry of Interior. They arrested 10 women who were reported as absconding, 20 who did not have any legal identification documents and 2 who were working for different sponsors. They were all sent to concerned authorities.
