Nandhanam conducted Arangetram 2015

Nandhanam Kuwait conducted “Arangetram 2015” at American International School, Maidan Hawalli on 15th May 2015. The program was inaugurated by Shri A K Srivastava, Second Secretary (Information, Press and Culture) Indian Embassy, who appreciated Nandhanam for their efforts to demonstrate the artistic culture and heritage in its original form. Ms. Priya Mani, national award winner and judge in dance reality shows were the special guest for the event along with other dignitaries from Kuwait. , who appreciated the efforts of teachers to present Mohiniyattam, Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi in its authentic form. Smt. Nayana Santhosh delivered the welcome speech followed by the national anthem.

Indian Embassy official Shri A. K. Srivastava released the Souvenir – Arangetram 2015 and the first copy given to Ms. Priya Mani, the special guest for the event.

The live accompaniment team Shri. Bijeesh Krishna (Vocal), Shri Reju Narayanan (Vocal) Shri Venugopal Kurumassery (Mridangam), Shri Suresh Nambuthiri (Violin) who welcomed the audience by a lovely Ganesha Sthuthi. In Arangetram 2015, 80 students performed their Arangetram in Bharata Natym, Mohiniyaattam, Kuchipudi dance forms and 6 other students performed bharatanatym Varnnam in accordance to the live music.

Ms. Priya Mani appreciated the efforts and dedication of the teachers, students and live accompaniment team for very joyous presentation – a visual and harmonious treat. She feels so proud and enchanted on her return to Kuwait through such a prestigious event and she appreciated the efforts done by the organizers for organizing such a program in its original and traditional form. Ms. Priya Mani handed over the mementoes & certificates to the Arangetram paricipants. Ms. Priya Mani handed over a memento to Shri Bala Subramanyam, as a token of appreciation from nandhanam for his whole-hearted support as a parent and well-wisher of nandhanam. She also handed over mementos to the teachers, the musicians as a gesture of appreciation from Nandhanam for their efforts in presenting Arangetram 2015 in its realistic manner. Nandhanam also appreciated the makeup artists Shri Jayan V Narayanan, Shri Shaji Sebastian and Shri Master Suresh in the event. Nandhanam directors – Mrs. Nayana Santhosh and Mrs. Bindhu Prasad handed over a memento to Ms. Priya Mani. Nandhanam thanked the sponsors, the teachers, the parents and the well-wishers for their immense support and for showing their passion towards our culture and heritage.
