India International School holds Junior Investiture Ceremony

India International School Kuwait conducted Investiture Ceremony for the junior wing on 7 May 2015. As a gesture of nurturing students to be future leaders, deserving young talents of the School were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their School from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence. The Investiture Ceremony which was graced by the august presence of Dr. Jagatnath R. Choodankar , the Chief Guest of the function, thus marked the inauguration of the junior student council for the academic session 2015-16.
The event was kick started with the welcome speech by the school Principal, Mr. F.M Basheer Ahmed who extended a warm to the Chief Guest, and the School Director, Mr. Malayil Moosa Koya received Dr.Jagatnath R. Choodankar with a colourful bouquet. In his welcome address, Principal reminded the students that a leader should be mighty in deeds, culture and service to humanity. The council members were bestowed badges by the Chief Guest, the School Director, Mr. Malayil Moosa Koya, the Principal, Sr. Vice Principal, Section Vice Principals and the KG Creative Head, Mrs.Nilofer. The oath was administered by the Principal and the members pledged to work earnestly & keep the school motto in high esteem. The ceremony also included the handing over of the House Flags to the new House Captains.
It was a moment of excitement for the students when the Chief Guest addressed the audience with his words of wisdom and motivation. Dr.Jagatnath, who himself was a model child throughout his student life posed a perfect example before them. He urged the audience to work hard with sincerity and persistence. He appreciated the school and the teachers for organizing such a disciplined and orderly programme.
Adding to the beauty of the function, the school choir mesmerized the audience by a motivational song. It was followed by scintillating dance performance by the young dancers of IIS. The event came to an end by vote of thanks by the CCA in charge Mrs.Sreedevi.
This year’s Junior School Council comprises of the Head Boy- Navin Surya,Head Girl- Khaira Fathima, Assistant Head Boy-John Jolly, Asst. Head Girl-Badarunnisa, CCA Secretaries-Edwin Mathew Jomy & Arwa Maher,Sports Captains-Hemshyam Thangamani& Zehra Fatima, Asst. Sports Captains-Adila Ahamed& Zeefa G.A, 4 House Captains,4 Asst.House Captains and 6 Prefects from each house.
