Kuwait Kannada Koota Celebrated Marala Mallige day

It was a program of Talents show on Friday, 8th May, 2015 at Carmel School Auditorium, Khaitan, Kuwait.

Every year, KKK conducts this Marala Mallige (Jasmine flowers in the desert) to bring out the hidden talents from the children and as well as adult members of the Koota. The event started at 4pm where in the convener of the Marala Mallige Mr. Ullas Vadana invited the President of the Koota Mr.Sudhir Shenoy and other members of the executive committee to light the auspicious lamp to herald the start of the program. Mr.Sudhir Shenoy welcomed the members with a special thanks to three external judges who were invited for the function.

Children exhibited their talents in the form of singing, enacting, storytelling and some young tiny tots even doing a cat-walk donning the finest costumes. It was a real sight to watch these children performing with effortless ease.

All the events were judged by invited external judges who were very glad to see these children on the stage.

There was ‘Treasure hunt’ for the youngsters who were smart enough to hunt the treasure with ease. A quiz competition was conducted for elders identifying the famous personalities of Karnataka.

‘Gumpalli Govinda’, a group program where in more than 50 KKK members participated had a competition house-wise. KKK members are divided into four houses Kaveri, Sharavathi, Netravathi and Hemavathi. Each group presented beautifully sending out a social cause message like protecting our environment and Unity in Diversity.

Children who participated in various programs were given away prizes to the delight of all the children. A vote of thanks was presented by the secretary of the Koota Mr. Deepak Katti. The program concluded with a sumptuous dinner.
