Powrasamathi bid farewell to Somu Mathew

Powrasamathi, Kuwait gave a warm farewell to Somu Mathew who is leaving Kuwait for good after his 23 years of service in Kuwait. The farewell meeting was held in United Indian School, Abbassiya, which was presided by Sam Pynummoodu. Mr. Thomas Chandy, M.L.A. honoured Somu Mathew with the memento. Somu was an active presence in all social and political gatherings, and was well known for his initiative and dedication to community needs.

Felicitations were given by Joy Mundakadu, Saji Thomas Mathew, M.M. Mathai, M. A Hilal, Adv. John Thomas, Babuji Bathery, Oommen George, Adv. Thomas Panicker, Hidine Thomas, Sam V. Thomas and Abubaker. John Arts presented him with his caricature. Raju Zachariah and Chessil Ramapuram rendered welcome speech and vote of thanks, respectively.

Somu Mathew, who is the son of former M.P. Pala K.M. Mathew, shared his treasured experiences with Powrasamathi, in his reply speech.
