Commerce, Industry Ministry closes shops violating fraud law

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced on Monday implementing a total of 11 ministerial decrees issued by commercial supervision and consumer protection department, closing commercial shops for violating suppression of fraud la, and for negatively affecting public health.

The Ministry added in a statement today that the Minister of Finance, and acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Anas Al-Saleh issued a decree of that matter, as the violations committed by the closed shops harmed the consumers.

The stores were shut down for selling expired food, fraud in foods weight, besides dealings in used tires.

The ministry warned from any manipulations or actions that would maltreat the consumers, stressing that the Ministry's supervisors are ready at all times to check on shops violating laws in all markets.
