Air Arabia flight from Kuwait made emergency landing after threat

An Air Arabia passenger airplane from Kuwait to Sharjah made an emergency landing after one of its passengers warned that the airliner will explode, UAE’s official news agency reported early Monday.

The airplane’s crew members were directed to land at Al-Minhad Air Base, a military installation in the UAE, news agency said. The air base is located approximately 24 kilometers south of Dubai and is operated by the United Arab Emirates Air Force.

However the Kuwaiti Consul General in Dubai said all passengers, including the Kuwaitis, were safe and sound after a false bomb threat forced an Air Arabia airliner to land at a UAE airbase Sunday night. The passengers were sent back to Sharjah airport
