Five Kuwait based Indians in Forbes Top Indian Leaders in Arab World 2015

Five of the Kuwait based Indian business men found their place in this year’s Forbes Top Indian Leaders in Arab World 2015 Owners list.

"The Forbes Middle East Top Indian Leaders in the Arab World ranking recognises the achievements of those Indian expats who have forged large enterprises within the region and beyond,” says the international magazine Forbes.

Kuwait based Pradeep K Handa, Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the KAPICO Group stands at 14th rank in the Forbes Top Indian Leaders in Arab World 2015.

S Kumar Wadhawan, Founder & Chairman of SAMARA Group of Companies, came back to 37th rank from last year’s 55th rank in the list. Samara Group of companies has business interest in both Kuwait and in India and has grown over the year to become one of the largest distributors of Automotive Parts in Kuwait. Wadhawan is also chairman of the Indian Business Council in Kuwait, which was established in 2001 to promote Indian business, trade and investment. This is fourth consecutive year, Wadhawan is listed in the Forbes list. Earlier his name was also listed in the Arabian Business Magazine top 100 powerful Indians in the Middle East.

Managing Director of Al-Othman & Al-Bisher Trading Co Mr Jagdeep Sahani is the third Indian on the list at 66th rank and another Kuwait based Indian and the Managing Partner & CEO of First Performance General Trading & Contracting Co Mr Avinash Chander Mannan is in 81st rank in the list

Another well know Indian and the CEO of Raja Company Mr Rohit G Mirchandani is the fifth Indian in the Forbes List. Rohit G Mirchandani's Raja Trading Company, once established as a department store has today grown into diversified businesses ranging from Safety products, Food and Beverages, IT and Marketing Services and Contracting.

As in previous years' Indians from UAE tops this year’s list also. Sunil Vaswani Chairman and CEO of Stallion Group claims the No. 1 spot in the list of top Indian business owners in the Arab World, displacing the No. 2 ranked Yusuffali MA, Managing Director of LuLu Group International, from the top spot. Chairman of Landmark Group Mukesh Jagtiani is ranked at No. 3, followed by BR Shetty of NMC Healthcare and Rajan Kilachand of Dodsal Group, both ranked at No. 4 in the business owners list.

Playing an increasingly important role in the region, the top 100 non-resident Indians (NRIs) who are business owners/founders, 61 are in charge of companies that have been in operation for 20 years or more, with four companies established more than six decades ago.
