’Isal Thenkanam’ Musical Tribute to Yusufali Kecheri

To pay homage to two great artists who passed away recently - Yusufali Kecheri, acclaimed Malayalam poet, lyricist, producer & director of films, as well as Playback singer Ayiroor Sadasivan - THANIMA organized a musical tribute named ‘Isal Thenkanam’ on 25th April 2015 at the United Indian School auditorium, Abbassiya.



Pratapan Mannar presented brief profiles of the artists and as a respect to the departed souls, the audience observed a minute in silence followed by floral tribute as a show of respect.

This was followed by the musical tribute, in which Yusufali Kecheri’s selected songs were presented by Kannoor Chandrasekhar, Sindhu Ramesh, Shaiju Pallipuram, Anwar Sarang, Kishore, Shameer Kozhikode, Rafi Kallayi, Joby Abraham, Biju Thikkodi, Sreekumar, Varghese Paul, Pratapan Mannar, Preethi Varrier, Julia Anil, Ambika Rajesh, Rebeca, Sumi Siju, Namitha Sivakumar and Baby Diya Sara.



Orchestra was led by Basheer Koilandi ably supported by Johnson, Manoj, Kabeer, Iqbal and Deepak. Varghese Paul was the sound engineer assisted by Sunil.

Program convener Shaiju Pallipuram welcomed the audience and D.K. Dileep proposed a vote of thanks. Adv. John Thomas spoke on the occasion. Program was coordinated & compered by Babuji Bathery along with Thanima Hardcore members.



Hundreds of music lovers attended the program which was enjoyed by all.
