Splash of Colors at Bhavan’s Pearls Nursery

Monday, April 27, 2015

One of the most interesting and perhaps the hardest concepts to teach a child is the concept of “colors.” However, it is indeed very interesting that children love anything bright and colorful.

Bhavan’s Pearls Nursery, a branch of Indian Educational School (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kuwait) celebrated ‘color week’ to help the tiny tots learn the concepts of colors in a magnificent manner. At Bhavans Pearls, the academic calendar has been designed around various themes to facilitate the learning process. The theme ‘color’ was colorfully and brilliantly introduced by the creative teachers at Pearls Bhavans Kindergarten School. The pupils as well as the pedagogues wore apparels in sync with the ‘color of the day.’ Red, green, yellow, blue, purple, pink, and many more

The classrooms looked vibrant as the entire campus was decorated in accordance with the ‘color of the day.’

The ‘red day’ was celebrated in a red dollhouse decked out with red toys. ‘The yellow day’ was celebrated in a yellow play room with many a yellow toy around whereas ‘the blue day’ was celebrated in a room painted like an aquarium with blue toys and festoons. ‘The green day’ brought the tiny tots closer to nature as it was celebrated out in the garden. The children spent time by playing with the green turtles in the pond. They also enjoyed watering green plants. ‘The rainbow color day’ was celebrated with much vigor out in the campus where children frolicked around multi colored toys, balloons, confetti and artwork.

The activities such as coloring, painting and color rhymes helped the children foster their color recognition skills. The little ones enjoyed the week to the fullest. The vibrant splash of colors would surely be remembered by the kids for a long time. Such was the profound and pleasant impact that the color day left in the minds of the peppy kids at Bhavans Pearls Nursery School.
