Lioness killed for attacking a shepherd

A shepherd was critically injured after he was attacked by a lioness before Jahra police killed the animal.

A Taima police patrol rushed to a location in Salmi desert yesterday based on an emergency call reporting that a man was under a wild animal’s attack. The officers were given orders to rescue the man and kill the lioness if necessary, which they did. An investigation revealed that the animal escaped from a Kuwaiti man’s property and ran into the victim who was present nearby. The animal’s owner is being summoned for questioning.
