Kuwait is forecast to witness sporadic rain after nightfall due to effects of an incoming African depression from the west, said the chief meteorologist Mohammad Karam.

He told KUNA the depression causes northeasterly winds that turn light and southeasterly, 15-30 km/h, to be coupled with clouds.

The southeasterly gales are forecast to continue whipping the country till tomorrow's early hours, then turn into northwesterly winds, speed of which will vary between 15-45 km/h, spewing dust particularly in uninhabited regions.

Visibility is forecast no less than 1,500 m. Dust subsides after sundown and settles at night.

Temperature is expected to range between 36 and 38 degrees.
