Indian Expat Arrested for Smuggling Eight Kilos Gold

An Indian expatriate was arrested at Sheikh Saad Al- Abdullah Terminal for attempting to smuggle 8 kgs of gold into the country. According to reports, customs officers were inspecting the luggage of the passengers when they noticed an individual trying to escape without passing through the customs. They checked him to find gold around his abdomen and feet. When questioned, he confessed that he was planning to sell them to the owner of a gold shop. The gold was seized and sent along with the suspect to concerned authorities for investigations.
