Ministry signs contract for Adan Hospital extension project

The Ministry of Health has signed a four-year contract worth KD232 million for the design, preparation and maintenance of Adan Hospital extension project, reports Al Seyassah daily quoting Health Minister Dr Ali Al-Obaidi.

Al-Obaidi pointed out that following the contract with Sayed Hameed Behbehani Company, the extension of the hospital consists of 12 floors with a capacity of 637 beds.

He said a bridge will be constructed to connect the old and new buildings, indicating the hospital will offer health services for women and children such as maternity and physiotherapy procedures.

According to the minister, all public hospitals will have a total capacity of 5,000 beds after completion of the new health projects like the extension of Al-Razi, Amiri, Adan, Sabah and Farwaniya hospitals; as well as the Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC).
